RetireON started as a personal research project. I was frustrated trying to find accurate, Ontario-specific retirement planning information — everything I found was either too generic, too complicated, or buried behind jargon that assumed I already knew the answers.
I spent months piecing together my own retirement plan: reading through provincial and federal rules, comparing account types, and trying to figure out how it all actually applied to someone retiring in Ontario. It shouldn't take months to get a clear answer.
I had collected valuable knowledge, which I decided to share with fellow Ontarians. What began as a tool to plan my own retirement has evolved into a platform built specifically for Ontarians who want carefully researched planning information about their future — without the months of digging.
